About us

Over 15 years experience in the video production industry.

Over ten years ago two budding filmmakers started Robot Army Productions. The idea was simple. Start a company making video content for businesses which would pay our bills and buy us the gear we need to bring our own creative projects to life.

In 2016 Robot Army made Australian television history with its fully independent series Rostered On. Amassing over 300 Million views and becoming the first ever independent Australian comedy acquisition for Netflix, and season 2 being 7mate’s first ever comedy commission.

Sometimes, success comes with issues. After the viral success of Robot Army we found ourselves in a position where we were trying to find a middle ground between our corporate/ and advertising work, and our industry endeavors.

This is where Milk Video was born. A sister company to Robot Army that would take the experience, ingenuity and creativity that saw us go viral and offer it to clients looking to create something that cuts through the rinse and repeat content that’s instantly scrolled through.

Same team, same quality, different name.

At Milk our approach is different to most. Our team consists of award winning cinematographers, directors, writers, producers, editors, designers and animators. This means you aren’t dealing with a middle person but have direct access to each part of the production process.

We advise on messaging, branding and the best way to visually bring your message to life, whilst also working with existing marketing teams or agencies you may already be working with.

Our approach is all about what you want the audience to feel, as if they don’t connect, they don’t engage. This doesn’t always mean content needs to be the highest quality/ most expensive thing ever created. It means it needs to be smart, and planned properly.

We also like to become an extension of our clients teams. Creating content that can be repurposed and building asset libraries to be reactive to the clients marketing needs, and assist with the ever growing demand for content.

If you want to connect with your audience in a meaningful way, get in touch and let’s make a time to talk about your vision.
